I arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 1st September 2020 and quarantine for 14 days till 14th September 2020. Then I went back to the office while staying in a serviced hotel till 3rd October 2020. Thereafter, I moved into an apartment using Airbnb. It has a perfect view of Kampung Baru.
I had stayed in Batam, Indonesia while I visited the yards when I was in my mid-twenties. I had grown used to the morning and evening prayers during my stay in Batam, I welcome the prayers from Kampung Baru. It creates a peaceful serenity in this city while I look at the Klang river. Kampung Baru is seating on one of the most valuable tracts of land in Kuala Lumpur. The people have turned developers away because they want to preserve their ethnic Malay lifestyle. I admire the spirit. I love working in Kuala Lumpur. I have got used to crossing the traffic light while it is red as long as the incoming traffic has stopped.
The only challenge is the loneliness I need to endure. Friday night is the hardest to endure. I miss my family at home. I miss the growing up moment of my child, I miss my wife’s tummy growing bigger every day. I hope that I won’t miss the delivery of my baby. This is the biggest struggle to be in Malaysia.
Towards end of September, I only manage to buy 1790 shares of ES3.SI and 500 shares of 2800.HK. I am working long hours from Monday till Friday, including Sunday afternoon. Hence, I don’t have time to look into individual stocks. However, I will be interested to look deeper into:
